MSA Faculty - Monica Lam

Monica Lam, Ph.D., University of Wisconsin – Madison; AAT, Certified Management Accountants Society in Canada, is the Associate Dean for Graduate and External Programs in the College of Business Administration.  Her teaching and research areas include information technology, database and data mining, project management, and accounting information systems. She has published in Decision Support Systems, Annals of Operations Research, Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Systems Management, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, Journal of Financial Services Marketing, and others. She co-authored two books: Accounting Information Case Book and Enterprise and E-Commerce Accounting Models by Prentice Hall. She holds a copyright on a rule extraction system for the backpropagation machine learning algorithm. She has also performed consulting and faculty internship activities with Access Health, Wells Fargo Bank, the Department of Parks and Recreation in California, and other organizations.
