This message is announcing a significant change in Spring 2012 petition deadlines please read it completely and follow the instructions in the attached documents.
COMMON MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS) UPGRADE NECESSITATES DEADLINE CHANGES
CMS Student Administration (MySacState staff portion) is being upgraded. While the changes coming will bring new and more innovative ways to manage students’ records and data, it necessitates the need to modify our deadlines for the Spring 2012 petitions and applications for continuing students. It is projected that the staff will not be able to make updates to the CMS student records during our critical processing time. Thus, the deadlines for Advancement to Candidacy, Applications for Spring 2012 Graduation, and Classifications will be temporarily changed. The new deadline for these forms will be May 13, 2011.
Please see the links to the documents explaining the process for submitting each of the following Petitions:

You may have less than the required 12 units completed at the end of Spring 2011 semester but you must submit your Advancement to Candidacy by the May 13, 2011 deadline (we will put in your Spring grades). You must have completed the WPG requirement or have it complete by September 1, 2011.
Application for Graduation for Spring 2012 If Spring 2012 will be your last semester you must submit this form by the May 13, 2011 deadline – be sure to pay your diploma fee $63.50 in the Student Financial Services Office (Lassen hall) BEFORE you submit the form to our office.
