Below is a summary of each of the CBA graduate programs. For detailed information about a specific program, please click on the link at the left.

The graduate programs in Business Administration require 30 to 54 semester

units of graduate study beyond the baccalaureate degree, depending upon the extent of the student’s prior academic preparation in Business Administration. We offer a quality business education that is responsive to the changing regional, global, and technology-driven environment.

Accreditation
The California State University Sacramento (Sacramento State), College of Business Administration (CBA) is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AACSB International. The AACSB International is the only agency that the U.S. Department of Education recognizes as having the ability to accredit collegiate business programs. Sacramento State has been accredited by the AACSB International since 1963 at the undergraduate level and since 1970 at the graduate level. Visit the AACSB International website at www.AACSB.edu

MBA
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) provides a management education that is extensive and broadening while allowing a student to select a field of specialization. The MBA program is designed to help students facilitate professional growth and development for increasing managerial responsibility, and develop competencies in leading, planning, and applying management knowledge in an integrative and interdisciplinary fashion.

MBA/Juris Doctorate [MBA/JD or MS/JD]
An arrangement between the College of Business Administration and the University Of Pacific McGeorge School Of Law allows a student to earn credit towards a MBA degree and a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree or a MS degree and a Juris Doctorate (JD) concurrently.

MBA for Executives [EMBA]
The College offers an MBA for Executives (EMBA) program which began in the fall of 2005. The overall objective of this program is to facilitate the development of future leaders for the greater Sacramento region. The program is offered at an off-site location with a schedule convenient to the participants. It uses on-line technologies for research, assignments, and discussion in addition to classroom lectures. The program consists of an orientation, twelve courses, and an individual project to provide in-depth applications-oriented knowledge and skills for managers facing current and future business environments. Students move through the program as a cohort, which allows them to develop strong professional relationships and contacts. The entire program takes about 15 months to complete. The EMBA program’s total fee for 2009-2011 is $33,000 including textbooks, course materials, supplies, meals and networking events. Fees are subject to annual increases.

MS/Accountancy (On-Line Program)
The Master of Science in Accountancy (MS/Accountancy) program currently under review by the University for approval is in response to new developments in the accounting and business worlds. Significant changes in the regulatory climate, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, have increased the need for graduate-level education. The 150-credit hour education requirement established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) also has significantly increased the demand for graduate education in accounting

Certificate of Advanced Business Studies [CABS]
The Certificate of Advanced Business Studies (CABS) program is designed to build a solid foundation in business that will equip participants with the skills and competencies necessary to be successful administrators and mangers. This nineteen-unit academic program can be completed as a stand-alone certificate, or used to prepare non-business majors for graduate degree programs at Sacramento State
