Stephen Crow
My work experience includes approximately 17 years of professional and corporate practice in the area of taxation, with focus on international taxation and accounting and financial reporting, representation before the IRS and various state tax agencies, consolidated tax returns, and design and drafting of model international bi-lateral tax treaties. The latter derives from my 10 years of work with the United Nations Ad Hoc Group of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters. I went into teaching on a full time bases in 1987 as a full-time lecturer at the University of California Berkeley after receiving my PhD in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Southern California. I began my teaching career at California State University, Sacramento in the Fall of 1989. During my tenure at CSUS I have taught in both the undergraduate and graduate level programs, with a primary focus on taxation and international accounting. I have served as Director of Graduate Tax Studies, CSUS representatives to the International Association of University Presidents, the United Nations Ad Hoc Group of Experts, and am currently the lead instructor and past Director of the MSBA-Tax graduate program which is a cutting edge internet delivered interactive graduate taxation program that is being used as a model for other graduate programs and being proposed for use in educations programs for the United Nations.
