John Segale

John Segale is president of Precision Public Relations, a full-service public relations agency representing a select mix of national, regional and local clients, based in Roseville, California.  With nearly 20 years of experience in the public relations business and four years working as a lobbyist for California's agricultural industry, Segale excels at providing a wide range of communications expertise including strategic counsel, crisis communications and media relations.  His commitment to providing personal client service, history of award-winning programs and extensive work on a variety of consumer, food and agricultural accounts has earned him a solid reputation for delivering superior results and achieving unparalleled success -- one client at a time.

Prior to founding Precision Public Relations in 2005, Segale was a senior vice president, senior partner and general manager with Fleishman-Hillard Inc. When he joined FH/Sacramento in 1989, he immediately worked to establish a full-service communications practice. When he became general manager in 1994, he grew the office to become the largest in the Sacramento market.  His clients included a variety of consumer product companies, agricultural marketing boards and commissions. From 1996 – 1998, Segale led Fleishman-Hillard’s global consumer marketing practice group. Over the years, Segale has developed an expertise in crisis communication and issues management.  He has worked on a number of food and brand-related crisis situations.

His current client experience includes the E. & J. Gallo Winery, Raley’s Family of Fine Stores, McWilliam’s Wines, Sutter Health, MBK Homes, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, Crystal Cream & Butter Company, California Olive Ranch and the California State Railroad Museum.  His past client experience includes SBC Communications, Yahoo!, the California Grown marketing program, the California Table Grape Commission, the California Milk Advisory Board, the California Egg Commission, the California Avocado Commission, the California Pear Advisory Board, the California Cherry Commission, the Produce for Better Health Foundation, Sunsweet Growers, Diamond Walnut and Del Monte Fresh Produce Company.   He earned three Silver Anvils – the highest award given by the Public Relations Society of America – for strategic communications programs he developed and implemented.

He is a graduate of Fresno State University with a degree in agricultural economics.
