Seung Bach

Dr. Bach is currently an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at California State University, Sacramento. After receiving his MBA degree at the George Washington University, Washington D.C., he received his Ph.D. in Business Administration in August of 2002 with the concentration of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. While at UTK, he earned a best teaching award for doctoral students. He also taught at Xavier University, Cincinnati Ohio, as an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship.

His teaching interests include Strategic Management, New Venture Creation, Small Business Consulting, Corporate Entrepreneurship, International Entrepreneurship, and New Venture Growth Strategy in Global Markets. His research interests include new venture processes from the perspective of social network theory, antecedents of IPO success, knowledge-based management in small and medium sized firms, the process of corporate reputations, technology-based international ventures, and new venture planning and survival in global contexts.

His scholarly works have been presented and published through various conferences, conference proceedings, and peer reviewed journals, including Corporate Reputation Review and Journal of High Technology Management Research. Also, he was a recipient of several research grants, such as the Downing Scholarship Award (Xavier University) and a Faculty Development Grant (Sacramento State University). He has been an active member and contributor for several professional organizations, such as Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society.
