Master of Science in Business Adminstration Taxation
Online Graduate Program

The Master of Science in Business Administration (MSBA) Taxation program at California State University, Sacramento is a highly specialized and intensive master’s program designed for those seeking a career in taxation as a tax practitioner with a corporation or with one of the many federal or state tax agencies.

The benefits of an MSBA Taxation degree are practical and economical. Many companies pay out more than 50% of their profits in taxes, making proper tax planning critical to maximizing the bottom line. Law firms and accounting consultants need this type of training to increase their clients’ bottom lines, and in government offices, this type of training ensures that tax laws are being complied with and properly enforced. That being said, this program offers much more than courses in filling out forms. It gives a practical exposure to the critical aspects of taxation with an orientation toward planning and strategy, and is supplemented by compliance knowledge where relevant.

The material is consistently updated to reflect current taxation issues. The role of taxation in national development, the e-commerce economy, multi-lateral treaties and intellectual property are some of the current topics under examination by our students and the global tax community.

The MSBA Taxation degree is granted by the College of Business Administration which is fully accredited by the AACSB - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The College of Continuing Education coordinates the administrative aspects of the MSBA Taxation Program.
