Major: Business Administration
Minor: Economics

Concentration: Finance

Graduating: May 2008!

Career Goals: To find a job that I really enjoy where I have the ability to make a difference. After I graduate I plan on attending graduate school to get my MBA. From there I hope to get a job where I have the ability to grow and to never stop learning. Down the line I see myself being a college professor so that I can give others all of the knowledge that I have accumulated. I also hope to some day be a mom.

Interests: Spending time with family and friends, animals, kids (especially my first nephew Evan), the environment, politics, school.

Activities: Traveling, kickboxing, camping, working, studying, school

Favorites Things:

  • Movie: “The Butterfly Effect”, “National Lampoon’s Vacation”…many others
  • Book: The Giver
  • Trip: My trip to Germany when I was a foreign exchange student. I had the greatest time and learned so much more about the culture and about myself. I have since been back to visit and hope to travel throughout Europe this summer! I also really enjoyed my trip to Florida this past summer.
  • Food: Chipotle, Macaroni grill, frozen yogurt, raspberries
  • Music: All kinds…My favorites would have to be The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Third Eye Blind.

Little Known Fact About Me: I speak German fluently.

Your advice to a new student: Make friends with older students in your major and get advice from them. Read all of the information about your concentration and try to overlap G.E. classes with pre-business classes. Also get a four year plan and try your best to stick to it. I often hear people say they wasted their first year because it was just such a big change and they didn’t know what classes to take. Make sure you meet with someone early on that can give you the advice you need.

What I like about Sac State: The campus at Sac State is just so beautiful, it’s hard to get stressed out when you are surrounded by the beautiful campus we have. Also, most of the instructors really love teaching and go out of there way to help students achieve. The business department at Sac State is also very distinguished which gives its students an advantage in the job market.
