Brenda Musilli has over 30 years of global industry leadership and management experience at Intel Corporation, including business operations, finance, marketing, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy. From 2005 to 2009, she led Intel’s $100M global philanthropic initiative as the President of the Intel Foundation, and the Intel Director of Education. As President of the Intel Foundation, Brenda directed philanthropy programs including the world’s largest pre-college science competition, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, and the nation’s most prestigious science competition, the Intel Science Talent Search. As the Director of Education, Brenda led K-12, Higher Education and Community initiatives in over 50 countries, including teacher training, online learning, university relations and underserved youth programs. In these roles, she managed a global organization and traveled extensively to over 20 countries to collaborate with government, education and community leaders on global education strategy, initiatives and programs.
From 1994 to 2005, as the Financial Controller for Intel’s largest business group, Brenda directed finance for a $20B business, including strategic planning, strategic investments, acquisitions, P&L management, and oversight for a $1B annual budget. Prior to 1994, Brenda held numerous director and management roles in business operations and marketing where she gained extensive experience in operations management, global factory planning, product management, forecasting, pricing, channels and customer service.
Brenda has been a frequent delegate, speaker, panelist and participant in events around the globe including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the World Knowledge Forum in Korea, the Clinton Global Initiative and the Aspen Ideas Institute. She has guest lectured at universities including the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, and has taught numerous management and business courses at Intel Corporation. She began teaching in the CSUS EMBA program in 2009.
Brenda holds an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of California, Davis, and completed the Executive Program for Philanthropy Leaders at Stanford University, Graduate School of Business. Brenda is married with two children and enjoys volunteering in the community, travel, skiing and being a “soccer mom”.
